OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
The OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100 is a independent system of testing and certification for textile raw materials, intermediate and end of all processing steps.
Carlota barnabe products have the Oeko-Tex 100 Class I certified for material and dyeing.
Material and dyeing with Oeko-Tex Class I certificate (textiles for babies and children up to 3 years)
Criteria for certification
The verification of harmful substances includes:
- Legally prohibited substances
- Legally controlled substances
- Chemicals known to be hazardous to health (but not yet legally regulated)
- As well as parameters for the protection of health
In general the requirements go well beyond national laws.
Laboratory tests and product classes
Verifications of harmful substances Oeko-Tex ® are guided by the actual use of the textile. The more intensively a product comes into contact with skin, more precisely the human and ecological requirements have to be met.
There are 4 classes of certification and our material and dyeing are certified as Class I: textiles for babies and children up to 3 years (apparel, toys, bedding, towels...)
